I found this little guy - I've named him Leo - while inline skating with my brother at the park on Sunday evening. Can you believe someone would abandon such a helpless little creature? He was obviously in trouble, skinny and thirsty.

It was tricky getting him home: Michael had to bundle Leo up in his shirt, with only his head free. But we made it home without too much ado (and hardly a stare from the neighbors!) and gave the kitty milk and food.

He's doing well now, fitting in with our other pets. Another animal to add to the Blackwell menagerie! ;)

Close encounter with meteor over Puget Sound: SEATTLE -- A meteor about the size of a computer monitor lit up the Northwest sky early Thursday morning, setting off sharp booms that stunned witnesses.
