I've been thinking about creating some of my own costume jewelry. It doesn't look as if it will be hard, and it looks like a lot of fun. I think I'll start with earrings.

I love chandelier earrings, so I'm definitely going to have to make some of those.

Then there are all these styles to try, too!

Hey, everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm not a lackadaisical blogger: I've been battling a nasty summer cold since Saturday. Hopefully, I'll be up to posting more soon.

Until then, here's a fun site: Graffiti Creator.

John Kerry + John Edwards = True love. ;)

If you think that's funny, then check out this LiveJournal community, devoted to Kerry/Edwards slash. People are actually writing fan fiction about it! *laughs*

Report Shows Big Drop in Reading in U.S.:
Only 47 percent of American adults read "literature" (poems, plays, narrative fiction) in 2002, a drop of 7 points from a decade earlier. Those reading any book at all in 2002 fell to 57 percent, down from 61 percent...

The decline was especially great among the youngest people surveyed, ages 18 to 24. Only 43 percent had read any literature in 2002, down from 53 percent in 1992...

43% of Americans didn't read even one book in 2002? That's disturbing! TV, movies and the Internet can be big distractions, but nothing compares to curling up with a good book to me!

It's been a while since I last took a personality test/quiz. This one is rather interesting: 20 Questions to a Better Personality.

My results:

You are an SECF--Sober Emotional Constructive Follower. This makes you a hippie. You are passionate about your causes and steadfast in your commitments. Once you've made up your mind, no one can convince you otherwise. Your politics are left-leaning, and your lifestyle choices decidedly temperate and chaste.

You do tremendous work when focused, but usually you operate somewhat distracted. You blow hot and cold, and while you normally endeavor on the side of goodness and truth, you have a massive mean streak which is not to be taken lightly. You don't get mad, you get even.

That does sound a lot like me. Well, maybe not the mean streak part, but the rest...

Edited to add: Link to quiz corrected.
