Kindle 4

The new Kindle 4 is now with us, and it is amazing!

It is actually a little confusing as there are a number of new Kindles available to buy but the general consensus is that the smaller version is the Kindle 4. This is a great model that has no keyboard but still manages to be 6 inches and super light at just 6 ounces.

We get a month of battery life and can store 1500 books. The Kindle touch is also available and this has double the book capacity and battery life as well.

AND we have the incredible Kindle Fire too, the tablet. All are available via our links at the top of he page. Don’t delay though, they are all being sold and shipped on a first come first served basis and are selling in very high numbers indeed.

It is hard for use to say which is best for you, it really depends o what you want out of your new Kindle 4. If you just want to be able to read in the most convenient way then the small Kindle 4 is ideal. Personally we love the Kindle touch as it is that much easier to use, but the Kindle Fire is a real temptation. Apps, video on demand, full color reading for books, magazines and more.

Below are our thoughts before the releases actually happened, left for the sake of posterity.

With the Kindle 4 due out in 2011, as well as a new Amazon Tablet PC too, this is certainly going to be an interesting year. The Kindle 4 specs are still tightly under wraps and with different news coming out daily it is hard to know exactly what to believe. Will it be a color Kindle, a Kindle touch or will the new Kindle reader actually be the much anticipated Amazon tablet that is due this Summer? Only time will tell.

UPDATE: The newest release will be the Amazon Kindle Fire.

New Kindle 2011

There is no doubt though that the new Kindle 2011 is going to sell in massive numbers. Anyone who has had experience of previous models knows that this is by far the best e-book reader currently available so we can only guess how much improved the new Kindle 4 is going to be.

There really does seem like we are, in all likelihood going to get a dual release this year. A tablet PC or Amazon Laptop to take on apple and the iPad 2 and hopefully at least a color Kindle 4 option too. But we are going to have to wait and see just what rumors are actually true.

Kindle 4 Release Date

With strong rumors that he tablet laptop is going to be here by late Summer there is actually less news about he Kindle 4 release date than the leaked news of the new Kindle release date. But all signs point to at least a September release, just as we could get the Kindle 3 around this time in 2010.

Use the form on the side and sign up for the pre-release. Last year if we didn’t sign up then we had to wait months for Amazon to get more stock and I know that I certainly will not be waiting that long this year, will you?

Kindle Color Release Date

It is certainly exciting and waiting for the Kindle color release date has certainly got a lot of people hot under the collar. Let’s just hope that it is a color option, although it does seem almost guaranteed that this will be one of the additions, along with speculation of more, like a touch screen, although that many simply be a part of the actual Amazon tablet and not the Kindle 4.
